Star Network is launching Diya Aur Baati Hum again in Marathi and Tamil!
What might be the reason behind this?
Years back Diya Aur Baati hum was remade in Marathi, and if was offaired with 300+ episodes it seems, now with the same production house which did the show in Hindi, is doing it in Marathi !

And Diya Aur Baati Hum's tamil dubbed version En Kanavan En Thozhan ran for many years (1000+ episodes) in tamil, but they stopped it during 2016 / 2017 and now they are gonna launch the remake of the show as 'Raja Rani 2' !

The Bengali and Malayalam remake of DABH were superhits before years, so only Star Maa is yet to remake DABH, (they had already dubbed DABH in telugu and telecasted 1000+ episodes)!

Yes, Tomay Amay Miley was a Hit.

Another thing that occurred a few months ago, I recall, was the launching of 2 new fiction shows, Prothoma Kadombini on Star Jalsha and Kadombini on Zee Bangla, which are based on the same subject - life story of India's first practising female doctor Kadambini Ganguly. There were different production houses, casts, directors and time slots for the shows, but there was a confusion among the viewers as a result. Both channels stated that it was unintentional and coincidental that two channels had come up with the same subject fiction at the same time. Has this kind of thing happened in other language domain, specially in Hindi or Thamizh GEC?

Few years back both Colors and Lifeok announced Chandrakantha at the same time! But Lifeok Chandrakantha launched first, and ended with few number of episodes ,later after several months Colors launched Chandrakantha!

But the plans for both shows began at the same time!

Maybe they think that since this 2 marathi nd tamil channels are doing good on charts so this show might click with viewers as storyline is good

Btw in last decade why bangla shows always used to revolve around love triangle like one girl from village then she married to rich man accidently and hero was in relationship with another rich girl
Seen same storyline in kusum dola ishti kutum etc.

Another thing is that accidental marriage plot, most irritating one!
Due to circumstances, at last minute of the marriage, the bride or groom wil be changed ! If the bride or groom runs away/gets arrested, they don't call off the wedding, they'll just find a substitute

The accidental marriage plot started with Ishti Kutum of Star Jalsha.

That's the only flaw with Star Jalsha, during 2017 when Star Vijay remade Ke Apon Ke Por, it became a huge success, from that they started to remake Kusum Dola, Khoka Babu and more which revolved around the same plot of twisted marriages with slight changes! Since Star Vijay got success with these plots they made original serials with the same plot which has twist during marriage like Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar and Eeramana Rojave (both these serials are remade in 2 languages) !

The accidental marriage plot started with Ishti Kutum of Star Jalsha.

The malayalam remake of Ishti Kutum is a hit! But not the tamil and telugu remakes,both were flops!

And that hero of Ishti Kutum loves one girl, but marries other in both
Ishti Kutum - Kusum Dola

In both shows, he played the male lead role, same plot too!

In Kora Pakhi also he plays the lead role, but I am not sure about the storyline
