Hero make is too old. Most probably you will get Technicolor STB or Flextronics at the most, if the dealer has old stock.

No idea about Hero box a/v quality but Technicolor is bot good. Suggest you to go for Felxtronics if possible.
Considering future possibilities (of migration to HEVC) I don't think it is wise to go for a non HEVC Box.

As far I know, hero box is not having good PQ & now airtel is providing HEVC boxes so no chance of it. Most probably you'll get Technicolor box & go for it only.

Technicolor is HEVC box. Now, airtel doesn't provides normal HD boxes.
Currently there's no difference in HEVC or normal box but in future HEVC box will have more good PQ.

Only 2, Technicolor & flextronics. Most probably you'll get Technicolor box as they are distributing it the most & moreover the stock of flextronics is less.

yes even I am looking for flextronics currently no stock for flextronics available only Technicolor available.
