Yes you are right brother,that condition is removed one month ago.The HD customers should take following base pack minimum:

1.South Super Value Prime 207/month
2.Value Prime 253/month
3.South Max HD 25,26 etc can be taken.

The HD customers are not allow to take following pack:

1.My Plan 99
2.My Plan 179
3.South Max Pack Of Rs171

I really dont like the recording feature of airtel.

1) You need to subscribe for recording at extra cost Rs33 per month
2) You cant watch the previously recorded videos if you stop subscribing recording top up.
3) You cant watch recorded videos if STB cant receive signal
4) You can only record one channel which you are viewing. ie Recording Movies Now isnt possible while watching Star Sports.

HD Recorder with 500GB solves issue 1, 3, 4 but costs more than 4000. not sure about price.

Sun Direct HD+ solves this issue where once channel can be recorded while watching other if its in a same TP atleast But consider channels count.

South Value Sports › Upto 185 channels @ Rs.255 pm*
Value Prime › Upto 125 channels @ Rs.253 pm*

Why South Value Sports is better than Value Prime is because
-> Star sports 1,2,3,4
-> Ten Sports,Cricket,Action
-> Sony Kix,Six
-> Zee Cafe & Star World
-> Hungama (Kids)
-> Toon Disney (Kids)

What you lose out on in South Value Sports
-> Movies OK
-> Music Channels except Zoom,B4U Music and Mastiii

Rest all Channels are the same you can choose 2 Regional packs also in these,just you get South Channels which shouldn't bother you!:tup

If you go to compare the South Economy Sports Pack its just the addition of Kids,Music and few English News Channel and Movies OK. So with South Value Sports you save on Money of Economy Sports packs in both regions!

Yes you can add any HD top-up if you want or not! Just you cant subscribe to basic package of MY Plan 99 & 179!

I am said about the lowest package can subscribe to hd box customers.1&3 is for South India and 2 is for Rest Of India.
I am not said about best pack in airtel and Brother you are right South Value Sports is one of the best package of Airtel DTH.
