Shutting down Hungama & Super Hungama Seriously? out of the all the crap channels that Star/Viacom had, they could find these two channels which deserved to be sold/shutdown, Indian TV is dead, all good channels are gradually getting shutdown, Many Praise Jio for bringing Internet to India at cheap rates but Jio has been a curse to TV Industry, he is the reason so many good channels got shutdown in past few years and now Jio is involved in shutting down hungama brand as well, R.I.P Indian Tv industry.

this is not strong arming anyone. this is illegal (extortion)by the boy. there are multiple precedent cases globally. you cannot take trademarks(or combine them) with the sole purpose of reselling and extortion.

RIL is intrested in Star only because of management team if they won't be set free how they'll get profit.

BTW working culture in Reliance is different from industry, only focus is on profit they won't hesitate to push their foots back.
For eg, Hathway, Den, etc cable TV companies are working independently even after acquiring by the RIL.
BTW industry sources are more of confirming my points.

Star Jalsha and Colors Bangla
Star Vijay and Colors Tamil

Best part is JV already has only one GEC in each language like, Star Maa in Telugu, Asianet in Malayalam.

P.S : Star Suvarna and Colors Kannada are performing well in ranting. So, no chances.

I think both Star Jalsha & Colors Bangla will change its Content Strategy and Broadcast Pattern in Upcoming Post Merger.

Now as Star Jalsha Movies will divested - both Bangla GECs will Telecast Bangla Movies to Compensate absence of HD Feed of CBC and to Attract Advertisers to invest more in GECs.

We may observe that New Bangla Movies will be Premiered as WTP on Star Jalsha on Sundays (1pm / 7 pm) while the Library of Jalsha Movies will be made available on Colors Bangla Twice a Day (2 pm / 8 pm) as it has HD Feed. Thus Movie Lovers will not be Deprived only with SD Feed.

As per 'Ananda Bazar Patrika' Reports Colors Bangla & Star Jalsha now will convert their Daily Soaps / Mega Serials into '100 Episodes Bouquet' to cut off their Loses which now often occuring when Daily Soaps lost its Charm as well as TRPs.

We are highly looking forward for Interesting Development in Sports / Movie Channels that How they Redesign their Content Sharing and Broadcast Pattern after Merger.
