I think both Star Jalsha & Colors Bangla will change its Content Strategy and Broadcast Pattern in Upcoming Post Merger.

Now as Star Jalsha Movies will divested - both Bangla GECs will Telecast Bangla Movies to Compensate absence of HD Feed of CBC and to Attract Advertisers to invest more in GECs.

We may observe that New Bangla Movies will be Premiered as WTP on Star Jalsha on Sundays (1pm / 7 pm) while the Library of Jalsha Movies will be made available on Colors Bangla Twice a Day (2 pm / 8 pm) as it has HD Feed. Thus Movie Lovers will not be Deprived only with SD Feed.

As per 'Ananda Bazar Patrika' Reports - Colors Bangla & Star Jalsha now will convert their Daily Soaps / Mega Serials into '100 Episodes Bouquet' to cut off their Loses which now often occuring when Daily Soaps lost its Charm as well as TRPs.

We are highly looking forward for Interesting Development in Sports / Movie Channels that How they Redesign their Content Sharing and Broadcast Pattern after Merger.

In Bangla TV Industry have Limited Broadcasters who can afford to buy these 2 Properties.
As per CCI Directives Zee / Sony / Sun cannot participate or Buy the Property Direct.
So now only 2-3 Small Broadcasters (who run Akash Aath / Rupasi Bangla) left here to buy.

ABP Network can buy the Property and Relaunch "Sananda TV" as pure Bangla Movie Channel both in SD & HD Feed in Upcoming Days.
Or Republic Media can buy it but unfortunately they are present only in News Media (as well as ABP Network) so Launching a Movie Channel from them is unlike at anytime

This is related to the shares of E18, TV18 and Network18. If you see the CCI order they have not mentioned it. It is not part of the Viacom and Star merger.

Currently, two mergers are underway in Network18, E18-TV18 with Network18 and Viacom-Star.
