I don't think there is any Confusion that Indiacast will handle distribution after Merger.
Currently Indiacast is a 50-50 JV Between Network18 and Viacom18. But after Merger TV18/Network18 will transfer their 50% stake to Viacom18. Means Viacom18 will own 100% stake in Indiacast. I think Star Distribution team will join Indiacast and both will work together under Indiacast name.

Why are they targeting English GECs? Are they not interested in this category anymore? This category should be left untouched as there are only 3 channels, i.e. Disney International HD, Colors Infinity, and Comedy Central.

If they shut down English GECs then the merged company will not hold any English GEC.

There is a trademark registration for the new logo of Star Movies and Star Movies Select. I don’t think English movie channels are as vulnerable to closure as English GECs, even though losing CI and CC will be sad. But I do think that closing Jalsha Movies is a terrible decision if it goes through. @Mylanji @somnath chakraborty what about you?

yes it'll be rebranded after merger completion for Sure . But SMS may shutdown in near future it seems.
