For anyone and everyone trolling ISRO, here and on social sites, saying that the Chandrayaan2 is a failure, please consider few things....
  • India is the First ever nation to dare to reach the south pole of the moon which didn't see sunlight for thousands of years. That attempt itself deserves appreciation.
  • And they were successful in reaching the South pole of the moon. The entire world was following Chandrayaan2 only because of the same reason. It was never attempted before and India have successfully achieved it.
  • Only three countries have soft landed on moon and only 2 of them have operated a rover. That explains the scientific difficulties involved in it. And India attempted to do it on the mystery hidden South pole which makes it even more complicated.
  • Also remember that ISRO is a research organisation and research involves trial and error. This is not even a error. Just a communication failure. We never know if Vikram would respond after few days or just be dead. Nevertheless it's not a failure.
Okay those are some general, fun, emotional facts, let's talk science..
  • Chandrayaan2, the orbiter, lander, rover and the launch vehicle - everything was made indigenously. That's a huge development in our space program. Aren't you ashamed to troll that effort of your country.
  • The orbiter is still functional and would send pictures of South pole which is never seen by the world. Not just India, entire world looking forward to those pictures to research more on moon's surface.
  • How many of you even know the actual mission of Chandrayaan2. It's not about the lander or the rover. It's all about the orbiter. Nearly 90% of the science behind the project depends on the orbiter. If the orbiter had failed then yes Chandrayaan2 is a failure. But that didn't happen.
  • The life span of orbiter was supposed to be 1 year and it was sent to find further evidence of water on the surface of the moon and reveal the mysterious South pole of the moon for the first time to the world, for further research. It is and it will do that over the next few months.
  • Lander and rover which had a lifetime of just 14 days is a monumental attempt to join an elite club of nations. It's objective was to study lunar atmosphere and seismic activity. Their scientific activity is very limited. It's just like attempting a personal World record in cricket game while your team is comfortably winning, if you reach it then you have the record else you can still keep the chin up and say we won.
So guys, WE WON. Greats scientists, space research organisations who realise the importance of the mission and complications behind it, are applauding India's attempt while some of those who haven't done anything useful in their life and know nothing about space research are trolling ISRO. Shame on us.

I don't get the wink in the post. Did NASA insulted ISRO with that tweet? I'm confused.
The slag SPACE IS HARD. is seen as a mistake.
NASA might purposely did it or may not. But that above slag is in a direct way saying you aren't capable because space is not so easy.
But for people who read it fastly feel NASA is supporting us.
Still don't know weather it was a supportive or flossing.
