I think I've figured out the reason why some people are not receiving these SMS. I started TS subscription with a SD mpeg2 box which is still on TS record although deactivated. At the time they first launched HD services, I had not exchanged but added a HD box to my account but subsequently deactivated the SD box. So it is still on their record.

If a subscriber has never had an mpeg2 box (active or inactive), there is no reason for TS to send them migration messages as they are already equipped to receive mpeg4 channels.

Did you have an SD mpeg2 box? If not no SMS for you!

That means sms will be receive only mpeg2 box subscribers.Thanks jdrocks bro for clearing my doubt.:k
 
What about out of India STBs, I mean those who r using Tata Sky Connection outside of India what will they do,, In here in Bangladesh,, there r so many TS users & most of them have the old MPEG 2 Boxes (Even I have one deactivated connection) What To Do???

U Can Also Exchange It With Any Indian Dealer Free of Cost for SD STB

No Bro, I don't think so, bcuz in here the dealers r just rubbish,,, they never do so, I already contacted but they r trying to influence to buy a new connection with MPEG4 STB...

Tata Sky currently doesn't provide their services outside of India. It is against the Terms and Conditions of Tata Sky to use it outside of India. You cannot get any OFFICIAL upgrade of your STB as long as your STB's physical location is out side of India.
