No Bro, I don't think so, bcuz in here the dealers r just rubbish,,, they never do so, I already contacted but they r trying to influence to buy a new connection with MPEG4 STB...

I think thats the problem overseas customers would face. As swap is free, dealer may not get anything thats why he is pushing for new mpeg4 conn.
In this process, TS would lose most of these subscribers which may not opt for new conn. If dealer can arrange for STB swap by charging small amt then that would be great for all these. I remember reading a news that TS has allowed 4 STB replacements at a time, dont know if this is helpful to you.

Does Tata Sky provide official services in Bangladesh? If so, you could directly call the Tata Sky and schedule a free technician visit to your home for the STB upgrade. You don't even have to visit the dealers. You can simply order FREE STB upgrade from the comfort of your home. (Pun Intended) :) :lol

Tata Sky currently doesn't provide their services outside of India. It is against the Terms and Conditions of Tata Sky to use it outside of India. You cannot get any OFFICIAL upgrade of your STB as long as your STB's physical location is out side of India.

LOL! I would like to say that there is No contradiction in my statements. Infact, my second statement was a sarcastic one. I know that Tata Sky doesn't provide official services in Bangladesh, but still wrote that to drive home the point in a different way. Didn't expect that you would respond. :lol

And in both the posts, I didn't say anything that would violate Tata Sky's Terms of Service.

Dont worry Bro, everyone knows that you are not violating TS Terms of service.....:lol
Even why outside customers should care about TS Terms of Sevice if TS is not providing them sevice officially.....:hello

That is pointless! TS souldn't care about upgrading their STBs either. :lol

yes bro, its two way thing....As TS dont provide official sevice in BD, customers in BD shouldn't expect official free STB replacement from TS...So only thing dealer can do is arrange for STB replacement by charging small amt so that customer dont have to pay for new mpeg4 TS connection other wise TS may lose these unofficial customers.

Sorry bro, I didn't mean to argue with you. I don't know what to say. May be TS should authorize the dealers for STB swapping.

As far as I know, the people I know called the TS technician for swapping, it would be better if TS authorize the dealers to do the swapping.

Yes bro, that would be nice but I dont think thats possible for TS in BD. So most likely TS would lose these customers & thus revenue....So these customer may go for other DTH...
