But majority of the people in south dont know hindi Except some parts of upper karnataka and telengana region....

no many people in Kerala know Hindi also in Karnataka..... and they watch Hindi serials... especially women... (I dont knw about other states)
many people might not know Hindi but most of them can understand the language to the extend to which they can watch programs in Hindi...
