Cinemax has launched a six-screen multiplex in New Delhi. The plex got going with the release of Ramesh Sippy's Dum Maaro Dum.

The newly-opened multiplex, having a total of 1159 seats, takes Cinemax's numbers of multiplex up to 113 screens across 34 cities.

The property, situated in the heart of the National capital, houses several high-end fashion brands. The multiplex on the third level is characterised by technologies like 7.1 Dolby surround sound, fully digital and 3D compatible screens and other services like ample parking space, 113 luxurious recliners and a fully loaded café.

Speaking on this occasion Cinemax CEO Sunil Punjabi said, "With this foray in India's capital city, we have a significant imprint into the northern territory. We will continue to expand our footprint across the country to reach out to a wider audience. This launch is a step towards the reinforcement of Cinemax's commitment of providing the best of Indian and International Cinema to all its viewers across the country."
