Colors takes marginal lead over Sony; Star Plus and Zee TV lose eyeballs

The world television premiere of Salman Khan’s Ready helps Colors to regain No.2 position


Due to Diwali celebrations in the Week 44 of TAM 2011, all the Hindi general entertainment channels have registered huge drop in GRPs except Colors because of the world TV premiere of Salman Khan’s Ready. Colors has claimed the No.2 position yet again by taking a lead of 0.6 GRPs from Sony Entertainment Channel.

The top 5 programmes for Week 44 (October 23-29) are Saathiya (4.5 TVR), KBC (3.5 TVR), CID (3.5 TVR), Balika Badhu (3.4 TVR), and BALH (3.2 TVR).

Star Plus continued to be the No.1 Hindi entertainment channel in Week 44 of TAM 2011; however the channel has lost 44 GRPs to record 273 GRPs (last week 317).

The world television premiere of Salman Khan’s Ready helped Colors to regain No.2 position with a little margin over Sony. The channel has recorded 236.5 GRPs this week (last week 208).

Sony Entertainment Television has recorded 235.9 GRPs (last week 258).

At No. 4, Zee TV has recorded 131 GRPs this week, down from last week’s 155.

SAB TV has recorded 118 GRPs in Week 44 (last week 121).

At No. 6, Imagine TV has lost a few points to record 61 GRPs this week (last week 69).

Star One has registered 40 GRPs (last week 35). Sahara One has 30 GRPs in Week 44 (last week 31).
