Discussion Confusion clearing thread regarding TRAI rate changes effective 1st February

Important Point:

For Channels a “Must carry” provision has been prescribed for all types of distribution platforms, thereby removing entry barrier for any broadcaster. All Distributors are required to publish an RIO giving details of carriage fee. Transparent and slab-wise pricing of channel carriage fee is mandated, thereby benefitting any broadcaster who gets more eye-balls.
 
Please clarify my doubt. If I want to watch Sun HD channels I have to subscribe sun hd bouquet right? also I want to watch other sun sd channels like aditya and sunlife. Do I have to subscribe sun sd bouquet also? If yes that bouquet already has sun tv sd, then Do I have to pay for hd and sd versions of same channel?
 
I really don't want any mess with my Titanium package :confused: It's cheap in price when I compared it with the addon's price published by the TRAI :cautious:

You shall subscribe SUN HD boutique or SUN HD a-la-carte channels. SUN SD boutique not required.

As per New Tairff HD and SD CHANNELS with same content cannot bundled (like SUN tv HD and SUN tv SD)

Sun basic hd bouquet have sun tv hd, Ktv HD, sun music HD, Aditya, chutti, sun life and sun news at 70
 
I have heard that TRAI has introduced some other packages other than this 130 pack with paid channels like 184, 195 and so on.

Its not new packages they are suggestive or demo packages how channels can selected and calculating the fare.
 
If TRAI puts a suggestive pack with 100 HD channels, public will come to know the real side of new TRAI rule.
