No idea bro.. If someone finds out a trick to get the software updated manually as like we have for tatasky and airtel, it will be great..

Updates Come At Anytime.Yes Today Is Friday But i Don't Know If There Will Be Updation.
But You Can Try To Refresh Your Account

My box was not updated. I made a complaint in cc. Local d2h engineer came to my home take the box to his service center. The same is returned to me after few hours. They made latest software update on my box and also activated the usb recording by Rs-230 only ( 199+30) for activation and one month recording right.Very good response from d2h.

No its encrypted. U only can see the recorded contents through your stb only. No idea abut Linux os. It may support because d2h using Linux as os in stb.
