Anybody who have HD/HDDVR stb please clarify whether there is an option in picture settings to choose 1080P- 60 Hz .Telecast in India is in 50Hz which is compatible for PAL system TVs or Multicolor system TVs only.
A signal converter 50Hz to 60Hzs has to be attached to NTSC TVs
( purhased in US). In some other forum a read that D2h Hd STB has the option to select a picture with 60HZs sothat NTSC TVs work with D2h with out extra device ie. cnverter. Any body please clarify. D2h people are of no help and didn't understand what is what.

Hi,
D2H has the option to set the HD video resolution to 1080i @ 60Hz. This option was added in the last firmware update (end of Dec 2012). Im currently using my HD LED tv with this setting.

As far as I know none of the DTH providers support 1080p.

Hope that helps!

and that same time none of any broadcoster provide 1080 p.

1.
You are right. So far the Hd telecast is in 720p only and it can be blown up to 1080i at the viewers choice.
2.As you are currently using 60Hz settings does it mean your TV supports 60Hz telecast. Almost all the TVs marketed in India doesn't support 60Hz (not aware of Sony LCD/LED. In CTR models Sony used to market 7 color system TVs)
