They can't do anything. Even SC wont help as they are not broadcasting on TV. Sports act makes mandatory sharing for right holder with DD (ACT doesnot mention 'only DDFD'). Since private channels went court so court prohibited private dth/cable. But this time amazon made mistake by being ott exclusive.

Mandatory sharing act mentions sharing only with DD's Terrestrial and DTH, these events aren't required to be shared on DD sports other than DD's own network.

"No content rights owner or holder and no television or radio broadcasting service provider shall carry a live television broadcast on any cable or Direct-to-Home network or radio commentary broadcast in India of sporting events of national importance, unless it simultaneously shares the live broadcasting signal, without its advertisements, with the Prasar Bharati to enable them to re-transmit the same on its terrestrial networks and Direct-to-Home networks in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be specified."

This is not written in act. "Only dd dth" also not written. If you dont know, it was available on all dth and cable (2007-2017) till star won case in sc. As private channel was losing revenues. But this time no private channel is there.

Buddy what @Nikhil Shirvankar bro has stated is absolutely correct. Infact i had already discussed in detail about the same at various earlier occasions. The statement "Only on Doordarshan" is clearly defined in the act as it states that DTH or Cable Operators cannot carry the DD Sports live sports feed which is shared with Doordarshan by respective private sports broadcaster & it will b made available on Doordarshan Terrrstrial and Free Dish DTH Platform .

As Amazon Prime Video holds the rights of ongoing India Vs New Zealand hence only way private operators can carry this feed is if some private sports broadcasters enters into agreement with Amazon Prime Video and airs the series on their channels. Private DTH or Cable TV Platforms cannot enter any direct agreement with Doordarshan to air the series by adding DD Sports 1.0 on their platform.

DD Sports 1.0 feed available on Dish TV is via DD Free Dish via DD Sports 2.0 is made available on Dish TV's own transponder thru regular DD Sports C Band Feed. You would see Dish TV blocking DD Sports 1.0 as the match goes on air

Dth networks, not dth network. Even singular/plural is important for interpretation of act. They didn't write "only dd's dth network".
Suppose you are right still you are not telling how was it available til 2017 through this act.

Bcoz till 2017 there was no bar for private operators to carry the DD Sports feed which aired these matches but since Star India won the case new rules r applicable to all. Which is why you are not seeing DD Sports 1.0 feed being carried by any operator irrespective of which private broadcaster or OTT platform holds the rights and shares the same with DD
