I think Doordarshan should go along with the time. I have made new logo which can compete it with the logos of popular Indian TV channels such as Zee TV, Star Plus, etc.
It it has a new vibrancy as well as essence of Old logo. I think Doordarshan should make DD National as a 24 hour General Entertainment channel with new shows and should also establish movie channel and music channel.
DD India stands as English news channel, DD News acts as Hindi news channel, DD Bharati stands as infotainment channel, etc.
