Friends,

All of you should be aware that Airtel is providing Digital TV services for vehicles. In their website, they mentioned the below details.

Our mobile tracking antenna installed the vehicle's roof receives the channels through our satellite and beams them to the
installed Set-top box and TV inside. You can then use it just like any other digital TV connection at your home.

For more information, we have been requested to contact Mr Jatinder Khanna @ [email protected]

Our DDF members should have the complete details of this feature for sure. So, instead of contacting Mr. Jatinder Khanna, I want to get the details from our beloved forum members so that it can be useful for many of our members.

First of all, is this service available only from Airtel or from other DTH companies as well?

Technically, how it is working? Because, if we are using Dish Antenna while the vehicle is in movement, we cannot trace the satellite signal. So, how it is working.

If it is not using Dish Antenna, can we avail this service to our home so that we can take it everywhere without any help from Airtel technician.

Can any of our members, please explain the above details???

Dish tv is the first to introduce this... "Dish on Wheels" is available for almost 3 years now

It do not use the normal antenna. It uses a Flat and special sleek antenna affixed on the roof top of your vehicle using special crossbars. The antenna automatically tracks the satellite even when the vehicle is moving at any speed in any direction.

The service and the antenna were meant to be used only on vehicles

Thanks for the details Madhan... So, there is no way to get this type of installation for home? It will be easier than using the Dish Antenna if it is availed to home use..

Antenna is havin motor, which runs on car battery.

By automatic rotating it. Adjust direction.

U can install in home.

But cost is above 1 lakh.

So better to use normal dish of rs500
