How to record in background as when recording starts

Both channels needs to be belong to same tp..

Tp means..?? And how to recognise channels with same tp

Max HD & Star Gold HD belongs to same TP, so you can record on Max HD while watchin Star Gold HD or vice versa..
To check TP tune to that channel then press Menu button, select My Dishtv, select STB Info sheet, select TP information, the one blinkin is a TP of that channel....

Ohhh a long process..
Is there any chance that DishTV will bring update so that we can record any channel while watching another channel..??

Hey i think that you also have DISH NXT box.. please help me and suggest me what to do

Iam giving you a situation, try and tell me result..

1. Switch off your setup box from remote.(means go to stand by mode)

2. Then After that Switch it OFF from main switch.

3. Then Switch ON from main switch.

And then see no welcome to dishtv logo will come and even take time to start when blinking of red light stops and become constant, at time when red light become constant remote (Power On button) didnt work for another minute.

Check and tell me if this happens with yours setup box too..
