Trying to get rough idea of how much i need to pay in this regime.
Here is my test experience
Deselected 46 Channels from 100 ch list
Added 31 SD channels as A la carte mostly sports news & just 4 main Hindi channels plus few other channels of value ₹1 or so
As per Dish TV my channel count is 85 SD and the billing amount is ₹415.48o_O:unsure:
& what Dish TV is suggesting me is Bouquet 10 - Happy India Platinum +other channels total count 94 ₹368.20
Note: Sony Happy India Pack 10 is not list at Dish TV Map Tool.

A la cart is expensive as compare to bouquets so go for bouquets but if there is only one channel in bouquet which you watch take a la cart, you need to compare bouquets with channels you watch

All this is bullsh*t, NCF+GST is itself coming to about 200 rs even if i select the minimum number of just sd channels taking the total price per month to 440 rs, my old maxi sports sd pack was giving me more channels at just 350 rs

Bouquet gives more channels
More than 100 channel make NCF high
Not all Bouquets are listed at present
Removing channels from FTA doesn't helps much except NCF up to an extent
Either way consumer is at loss
As per present scenario minimum cable TV charge won't be less than ₹400

sony, discovery, disney, tv18-india cast, turner, tv-today bouquets still not available in the map tool, there are only star & zee packs

consumers only bet is that if less people subscribe to expensive channels then they will have to lower their price, hope for the best. By the way for me its going to be very cheap since I am out of India and had to pay for the whole pack in which I only watch 9 HD channels mostly sports and my family watch colors and star plus so my bill will be half

but for people like us who used to spend ₹259 pm with sports channel its expensive . Just add two alacarte and its already near 200

agreed, I dont know how TRAI is claiming that its going to be cheap for 90% of consumers infact it is going to be expensive for 98% of consumers and if these rules were made keeping inview the consumers interest then NCF should have been Rs.60 and 15% cap on bouquets should have been at-least 30% so bouquets get more cheaper and as they told they consulted all stake holders i.e. broadcasters / distributors / cable operators but where were consumers ? they were consulted ? I dont know what they were thinking

Agreed the ncf should have been below 100 including tax for any number of channels.
