Future of disney
1. Sale of star india
2. Disney content licensing to rivals
3. Sale of abc
4. Purchace of hulu
5. Sublicensing "loss making" marvel content
They're seriously talking about Sports business and Streaming platform hotstar which own by Novi Digital entertainment pvt ltd. Nobody ready to sale Star entertainment channels it's strength of Star India before acquiring Star Sports in 2013/2014.

Star india is not helping disney make any money. And they are least intrested in tv buisness. They only kept star india for hotstar. Now that bob openly talked about hiw disinterest in espn and hotstar. Its clear star india's portion of stake if not full will be for sale.

Currently Buzz from media persons is only loss making hotstar and Sports business buyout by one of the Indian Industry own media company itself, only if everything is planned going right way.

They can't sell Hotstar without TV network as all of its TV content(serials/shows) in it, but they can ditch sports business.

At the end of day. I just want them to sublicense Australian cricket (pity on Sony for losing same), Premier League and Wimbledon to someone else. They can air IPL on their movie channels if they are planning to exit sports business.

Hollywood Reporter too added analysts some interesting words to their article

The analysts outlined “two obvious options” for the Hollywood giant. “First, Disney can turn to the new joint venture run by their former executive (Uday Shankar) and create an even larger joint venture, which will de-consolidate India results and put the asset into stronger and more strategic hands,” the MoffettNathanson team highlighted. “Second, Disney can turn to Sony, which already has a significant presence in India, and try to partner with them.”

Sony has been waiting the past year and a half for Indian regulatory approval for an ongoing merger of its India TV business with local entertainment powerhouse Zee Entertainment, so MoffettNathanson noted that there could be some difficulty to the company also working with Disney. Other conceivable partners not mentioned by the analysts include Airtel, Reliance’s largest teleco competitor, or the Tata Group conglomerate. Disney already holds a stake in Tata’s satellite television subsidiary, Tata Play (formerly known as Tata Sky).

best all these big 3 networks can do for sports specially cricket one network can bid for whole series and sub license one of the format to another network for example star can bid and show test live and another network can show odi and the other t20 like this they can share revenue plus the burden will be less for each network...

Now all 3 networks vs Jio cinema are for digital rights of cricket only as TV viewership decline year by year. Netlfix and Amazon Prime are acquired most (90%) of the Indian movies as other big broadcaster's OTTs have no option to stream Indian movies.
