So that's not rebranding, it's addition. Maybe new ESPN channels would come up leaving all the Star Sports Network channels untouched.

There's no need for new sports channels. If existing channels are used judiciously all sports properties can be accomadated easily. So most probably Star Sports will be renamed to ESPN. Also we won't have to scramble for Premier League matches and be at the mercy of Star for that. I also hope overdose of cricket will be contained.

If ESPN breaks up with Sony that will come as a massive blow for Sony. Star will control everything in Indian sports, including ESPN.

Isn't its interesting few years back star parted away with espn by purchasing espn stake in espnstar.... Now espn purchased star.. Quite impressive
