How much we can expect price of merged contents OTT Rs.1499/- or Rs.1999/-? I think live cricket might not be free on merged OTT. 😀
Then how do you think Viacom18 plans to recoup their investment?

Sports need scale. OTT offers that.

Do you think ppl will pay for sports? If yes, how many?

59 million watched the ICC WC 2023 Final and 32 million watched the IPL 2023 Final. Disney or Viacom18 will get better ad revenue by keeping it free.

I think free streaming in mobile will be free, not for TV.

3 Days Of Amount (₹239 Plan) (8.54x3 = ₹25.62)

30 Days (In DTH/Cable) = ₹22.42
3 Days (In Mobile) = ₹25.62

दूरदृष्टि = Long Vision 🤔😳

Finally star channels will play directly through jiotv+ app when content will be merged. Yay
No, it will be a combined paid app with new name with renewal tariff at Rs1500 to 2000 per year, with Star and Color programmes may be free or nominal fee but all premium contents will be expensive.

You can’t subscribe pay channel (Rs 22.42) without NCF of Rs 153/- So to watch live cricket, we have pay Rs..175.42/- per month

Renewal subscription might charge at Rs.999 per year for Indian content (Hotstar + Colors) with FHD and Rs 1999 per year for International content (Disney+ Jiocinema premium) with 4K

Exciting times ahead. Contrary to general opinions here, I don't think Jio will monetize sports especially cricket. The freemium model is working excellently for them

Ad agencies pay top dollar for Connected TVs. They are a premium and affluent consumer base.

Viacom18 understands this that's why Anil Jayaraj said they won't put sports behind paywall.

If you put it behind paywall then it will hardly attract 3-5 million subscribers. It's pointless.
