This cartel cant fight this big tech companies in multiple businesses, Now Netflix can churn sports streaming from these companies in future.
Agree.

Nobody can beat Tech but Netflix is a different ball game. Legacy companies could beat Netflix if they play their cards right.

Then what made them quote such exhorbitant prices for the upcoming ICC Media rights cycle?
2 wrong steps made by Disney Star deteriorate its valuation from 10B USD TO 4B USD ;) ie ICC rights@3B USD & IPL tv rights@3B USD

According to sources familiar with the matter, Star India had allocated 40% of the $1.8-2 billion payout to the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the final year of its eight-year media rights deal, which expired in 2023.

Of the 40% allocated to the final year of the rights cycle, 80% was for linear TV rights, and the remaining 20% for digital rights.

Disney Star knew they overpaid the previous cycle and knowingly bought IPL TV rights and ICC rights. And still some shamelessly support this useless management.
