Do i have to be subscribed to basic pack of airtel to get hd channels?

Hello friends
I would like to subscribe to hd plus pack hd only. I checked online and it
says 175 rupees per month including taxes. But my friend is saying I must
also subscribe basic non hd pack to be able to get hd plus. Is it true? He
is saying I have to pay 175 for hd and 175 for basic pack. Please let me
know if it's possible to subscribe to hd only pack. I have hd plus
receiver and non hd channels were working for a month and now it stopped working.
I would be happy if i get answers to the following questions:
Is it possible to subscribe to only hd plus package?
Do I have to pay only 175 per month for hd plus or there are other taxes?
Is the price the same in all parts of india or it depends on the area?
What are the channels for the basic pack?

How much will it cost all hd package+base pack?
Is it 175+175?

Brother go for south super value prime 185/month(previously 175) and 18hd at Rs 175/month.If you take 6&12 month pack of these 2 pack you will get discount.In this pack you will get 2 language free addon.
There is 19hd pack also including star world premeir hd at Rs 235/month.
Sun HD is now available only as separate top up at Rs40/month.
There is new south max available at Rs 150/moth in this pack free addon not available so some of the channels we don't get if we needed that channels we pay for it,thats why I am not suggest that pack.
In this 185 pack you get more than 105 channels.
