Firmware update for optical port in Tata sky binge plus

Hi,
I recently purchased Tata sky binge plus but they informed me that optical audio option is not enabled yet. There's an optical port it won't work unless and until Tata sky releases a firmware update for it. I wanted to connect Tata sky binge plus to soundbar using optical. Anyone knows when does Tata sky releases firmware update to enable optical.

How to connect properly? If optical cable is connected, will it output audio through hdmi also? I am struggling with the audio issue, when connected through hdmi arc (stb > tv>soundbar) , audio is loud but quality is inferior but when connecting through soundbar (stb > soundbar> tv) audio is superb, true Dolby but low and change per vol+- is very negligible..so thinking to use optical cable but soundbar guide says hdmi signal will get priority over optical

In my brother Airtel Xstream box there is no problem in Optical or HDMI both working superbly. I am not user of TP so can't help here. I seen many people's disappointing with AQ in TP.

Problem is they are compressing the quality too much..I hard see any channel with dd+

It is simple yaar.

Inserted HDMI cable in HDMI port & Optical cable in Optical port. Both working fine after selecting Dolby Digital Plus, Only minus point in this you can't control volume from Airtel remote you have to choose volume up down from Home threater or Sound Bar.

What is the connection between stb and tv? HDMI?
And between tv and soundbar? Optical?

In my airtel connection settings.

STB HDMI out to TV HDMI in.
STB Optical out to TV Optical in.
