Does Tata Sky mpeg4 HD box has Optical Port?

Hi,

It is not clear whether Tata Sky has Optical or Coaxial port in their new mpeg4 HD set top box? Has anybody recently purchased HD mpeg4 box through online of Tata Sky website? If yes, what does it have Optical or Coaxial port?

All hd boxes are mp4 compatible and i think they are giving Samsung and technicolor hd boxes, both have optical out.
Old kaonmedia hd box has coaxial only and tatasky +hd box have both coax and optical.

Thanks a lot, but Tata Sky customer care continue to mention that all HD boxes has only Coaxial, only HD+ recoder has Optical port.

I still can't figure out correct information.

By, any chance do you know if any of the recent online purchase customers got Optical port?

yes i believe the same.... I have a Samsung HD box which has only Coaxial, and no Optical....

Yeah i check samsung box have coax technicolor box have optical. But dont know which box they are currently suppling.

I cannot make any compromise, as currently available home theatres in market doesn't have Coaxial In. Why is Tata Sky still supplying outdated STB?

You can try asking TS specifically for Technicolor STB or STB with optical output. Send email to CC/CEO with your requirments. They will either say or no. poochne mein kya jaata hai....
