After Hindi, Telugu language only will get second channels from DD.
However Telugu people will get a second 24*7 Telugu satellite Channel from Doordarshan.

Sailaja assumes charges as Andhra's Doordarshan head
In the run up the launch a dedicated news channel for Andhra Pradesh, Prasara Bharathi appointed Malladi Sailaja Suman as head of AP doordarshan.
Sailaja Suman, who been deputy director general and programme head at Hyderabad, assumed charge as first director of Doordarshan Vijayawada Kendra here Monday.
Malladi Sailaja Suman is native of Krishna district and married to grandson of a scholar Malladi Chandrasekhara Sastry, Dr Rajeswar Sastry. Meanwhile, Doordarshan is making all arrangements to launch the AP channel.
At present, Doordarshan Sapthagiri is catering to the people of both AP and Telangana. However, Centre has decided to grant separate channel for AP while changing the nomenclature of the centres.
Sources said that both the channels would air programmes with new titles by the end of October.
Initially, Vijayawada Kendra would produce six-hour programme for the news channel and remaining feed would be taken from Hyderabad Kendra.
