I agree with you Indian government department mainly used tataplay play dth for their news & affairs on political.government schemes regulations for sports department health department etc .In india mostly district magistrate office used tataplay service. Note I also seen DishTV also used in many news agency channel & government office. Also DishTV shut down completely because it powered which Essel Group, (also known as Zee Group ) subsidiary of Zee Media Corporation. This is my point of view

whatever it is, when compare with dishtv,
Tataplay best top class,
Prime minister of india & President using Tataplay, even we all saw that image in DDF,
Fact- we don't know how many Chief ministers using Tataplay.

Yes... Tata Play connections r indeed installed in many prominent government offices but same is bcoz Pre 2019 it had a certain premium appeal among all the players operating in DTH segment and secondly Tata is an old + trusted legacy brand therefore it certainly has a special connect with everyone hence thru all these years they have operated various businesses & worked together with different governments for different social causes too so affinity towards the brand is understandable. .... Lastly until 2020 erstwhile Tata Sky was also very good in marketing, innovation and promoting their products/ services across different mediums therefore they also successfully entered agreements with various offices, housing societies , hotels etc. to install their connections at their premises.


Unfortunately since Sky exited the joint venture, i find that the old charm has slowly been diminishing

Netplus and Radinet like cable TV backed internet service provider are doing great in small towns by bundling Cable TV with wired broadband.
