As top Gun sequel released yesterday, who holds the rights for first part alongwith other TC MOVIES like'The firm' Minority report, collateral? Earlier Zee studio (now & flix ) used to air them frequently

Top Gun rights r with Paramount Pictures and Times Network has agreement with them at present . j
Just like Mission Impossible franchise movies have never aired on Times Network since agreement came into effect, i believe same applies to Top Gun. May these iconic films r out of sphere of current agreement

Times Network airing lot of 20th Century Fox, Disney Films these days. I think this movie must have premiered on star movies back in 2017 or 2018 else if it remained unaired then Times Network would have acquired its satellite rights recently when they renewed agreement with 20th Century Studios/Disney

Eagerly awaiting to see Dumb and Dumber, Back To The Future, Lara Croft : Tomb Raider, Robocop, Kill Bill Terminator and many other movie franchise on star movies and star movies select. Incase they sign agreement with Paramount Pictures then we might see Mission Impossible and Top Gun franchise too on these channels

Terminator rights r with MGM (Movies Now)

Terminator - Judgement Day, Terminator 3 - Rise Of The Machines, Terminator Salvation rights r with Sony Pictures International (And Flix, Sony Pix)

Terminator Genisys rights r with Paramount Pictures ( should b with Movies Now / MNX but not seen since a long period)

Terminator - Dark Fate rights r with 20th Century Studios (Star Movies)

MGM deal with Movies Now is still on. If at all another broadcaster comes to play then it would be either Star or Sony

Quite possible that star/disney might sign if not a 1st output deal then most likely a 2nd output deal with Paramount Pictures. Or if viacom18 planning to launch English Movie Channel then they may keep these rights exclusive or sign a 1st output agreement
