So they are taking 2 days time in telecasting the episodes? How dumb. On the other hand new channels like Colors Infinity are telecasting episodes premiers within 12 hours of US premier.

‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 trailer shows ‘violence’ to come

The Lannisters send their regards — and their guards.

HBO released the first full trailer for the sixth season of “Game of Thrones” Wednesday, just weeks ahead of the April 24th premiere.

Set to a cover of “Wicked Game” James Vincent McMorrow, the one minute, 40 second trailer focuses heavily on the heavy-hearted Cersei (Lena Headey), reeling from the murder of her daughter and her naked walk of shame at the end of last season.
“Order your man to step aside or there will be violence,” says her cousin Lancel, now with the religious cult known as The Sparrows, in one scene.

Considering her man is a reanimated Mountain, she answers, “I choose violence.”

There is, however, still no definitive answer as to whether Jon Snow is alive or dead. Sure, there’s a short of the fan favorite’s corpse at the beginning of the trailer, but actor Kit Harington was spotted on the show’s set filming new scenes.

Critics will have to wait until April 24 to learn more, too. HBO has barred reviewers from seeing advanced screeners of “Game of Thrones” before any of the ten epsiodes air — a rarity in television business.

Game of Thrones trailer breaks HBO record: 30 million views in less than 24 hours :eek:hya :eek:hya :eek:hya

Game of Thrones has broken yet another record.

The Emmy-winning fantasy hit’s season 6 trailer has garnered an incredible 30 million views in less than 24 hours.

The first preview of the eagerly awaited new season has racked up 8 million views on YouTube and another 22 million on Thrones’ official Facebook page. HBO confirms this is an all-time high for a trailer launch, surpassing with several hours to spare the previous high – Thrones’ first trailer for season 5, which delivered 27 million views during its first day. Last year, the acclaimed drama went on to deliver record ratings, averaging 20.2 million viewers per episode when including streaming, repeats and DVR playback. The season 6 trailer surge suggests that this year’s episodes could set viewership records once again for the network.

The trailer teased a massive battle sequence, fan-favorite characters such as Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and Arya (Maisie Williams) in jeopardy, and depicted Jon Snow (Kit Harington) dead following last season’s fatal cliffhanger.

Since the show’s narrative path is almost entirely surpassing author George R.R. Martin’s novels for the first time, and four episodes leaked online before the season premiere last year, HBO is taking unprecedented measures to protect the new season secrets – such as the highly unusual step of not sending any screeners to the press for the first time& before the April 24 season premiere on HBO.

Despite Stringent Control by HBO, 4 Episodes were leaked last year ahead of launch....:huh
They will not handover any copies to external Broadcaster before telecast in US and Key European Markets as revenue is very high from these locations. HBO India telecasted simultaneous feed, but not many in India were willing to pay 79/- per month for these channels. Thus now can only be telecasted in India by 26th, as 25th 9:00pm will be the telecast schedule for Europe.....:p
