Star? Isn't Star Suvarna Plus a 24/7 movie channel? Or does it show movies+old shows like Vijay Super?

Already Star Suvarna Plus is existing in that region, which is I think a Kannada Movie channel.
Zee is also planning to launch 3 regional movie channels (Kannada, Tamil & Bhojpuri).

Star Suvarna Plus is NOT a 'Premier' Movie channel.
It is a channel that airs some old shows randomly, some old, unpopular movies, some B-grade movies that have never been released in theaters, sports leagues like PKL, ISL and IPL with Kannada commentary (LIVE only, no highlights). Once Star Sports 1 Kannada is launched, this channel will have hard time if it is not converted into a proper movie channel.

Colors does have a decent movie library with around 100-150 movies. They have probably acquired more by now, some old movies from other channels.

Kasthuri has some premier movies which MUST be sold to any others because they deserve to be on OTT platforms. Kasthuri will never ever think of having a digital platform.

Actually the time is too late. Star suvarna lost its position in kannada. They are suffering to stay in top 5 to colors super. No other star channels are become weak like them. Also among stars regionel channels suvarna has lowest picture quality
