Biggest point for DD Free Dish users
Now many Pay channels like Star gold thrills can opt out from DD Free Dish
Public service broadcaster platform means DD Free Dish

According to TRAI, currently 20 pay channels available on DD Free Dish including Star gold thrills, Zee anmol Cinema etc. Now these channels have only two ways: Available FTA on all DTH aur left from DD Free Dish. Small broadcasters can opt first way but it's very difficult to chose first way for big broadcasters like Star, Zee etc. So These channels are going to left DD Free Dish?

Why TRAl overweight DTH player unwanted demand. DTH player badly affected due to DDFD, OTT power & pay channel rate card policy...

Old time TRAl blocked 1 tp (10 fta channel by Zee) & AB* DTH from 75E to run lndian FTA channel bunch... lf TRAl thinking for common people then what do they prove by the action.

TRAl not thinking for common people but performing like lndian DTH player puppet & greedy for generating revenue

Branded channel not looking for charity, they wont mind even if they need to launch new channel any number for free. We experiencing now 2+ branded tv channel contributing to eradicate newly launching channel. They fear if any brand new channel turn into a branded tv network.

It happening everywhere. ln bollywood, DTH, telecom and in individual life too.

If DD Free Dish want, they can easily move to ICAS and MPEG-4. DD free Dish earned more than 3000cr in last 3 years and they did nothing. They not done Migration and Not increased any slot. Now it's time to do something for their users. Here is how they can migrate to ICAS and MPEG-4
Firstly they should not done any new e-auctions from now and move their annual e-auction timings to July from April for one time. From this they will get 3 months to migrate channels. In this period they can operate with only DD Channels and all other Channels will show how can you see all channels by shifting to a new set top box and how this is helpful for you. As PB earned more than 3000cr, they can easily give free set top box to all users but giving free is not that good. Users will not care of that thing they got in free. So they can pay directly to manufacturer around 400 ruppees per box and Put MRP of 200 ruppees on Box. From this The shopkeepers can't sell this box for more than 200 ruppees and users can buy new ICAS box within 200 ruppees. They should run this scheme for at least 6 months.
And by this way all the allegations of Cable operators, DTH and TRAI will over.

Last time I enquired about icas box from a manufacturer authorised by prasar bharti,he told it is Rs1000+ for a ICAS MPEG2 box so this Rs200-400 per box is a dream which will be never happening in India,Actually shifting all channels to MPEG 4 and making it ICAS controlled is best way to make broadcaster to buy DD free Dish slot cheaper in eauction and for us also to get much more channels.

But what is the need of i-cas boxes? ICAS boxes can give exact number of DDFD users. But what they will do from these numbers? Government should focus on MPEG-4. If government will move all MPEG-2 TPs to MPEG-4, then we will see 300+ channels.

There's no need of icas boxes, priority should be shifting to mpeg4 completely.
