I am using airtel for normal base pack and videocon for ala-carte HD channels... I am more satisfied this way as my family dont mind airtel logo but I seriously mind it... So I use videocon for my selcted HD channels using ala-carte

325 rs. wala pack = sshd3 + sony six hd also
so i think it is a better choice if they allow it in @ 310rs only bcoz u had a price protection also.
i m sure that they have credited in ur account the remaining amount which wud b needed to take ur validity date back to the previously date b4 the price hike.

so u can take benefit out of that.

D2h should add & tv on LCN 111, and shopping channel should be changed after LCN 130

I am planning to change my package. Need your suggestion if it there is any benefit if I am going with this option.

My Requirements:
Need all Tamil Channels
Need selective HD Channels
-- Star Movies HD
-- Movies Now Plus HD
-- Zee Studio HD
-- Sony PIX HD
-- Sun TV HD
-- Sun Music HD
-- K TV HD
-- Star Sports HD1
-- Star Sports HD2
-- Ten HD
-- Discovery HD
-- NGC HD
-- History HD

Optionally,
-- Sony SIX HD (even based is fine)

Now I am paying Rs.570 for New South Platinum HD pack (price protection till 28-Sep-2015)

I am planning to select South Silver Sports with Premium HD Access Fee.

Package cost = 250
HD Access Fee = 150
-- Free HD channels part of pack = Sun HD, Sun Music HD, K TV HD, SS HD1, SS HD2, Ten HD, Discovery HD, NGC HD, History HD
Paid HD channels:
-- Star Movies HD = 23
-- Movies Now Plus HD = 23
-- Zee Studio HD = 23
-- Sony PIX HD = 23

Total = Rs.492

If I am selecting Sony PIX for IPL, I need to pay Rs.57 in addition.

What do you guys think? Is this a right package or any other cheaper package is available?

This is the cheapest package according to your calculations. But please check whether you are getting all the English News Channels or not, which I think you are getting. Sony Six HD should always be taken event based because apart from IPL & New Zealand Cricket it has very less live content to offer. But yes Star Sports HD 3 is required.:tup

bro. actually he is a south indian so might b ss hd3 is of no use of him.
sony six has withdrawn with new zealand rights.

SS HD3 is already there in the pack I selected. I didn't list it since it is not my requirement. There are other HD channels like Star Plus HD also there in South Silver Sports pack that I didn't list.

In Rs.325 (South Gold Sports) pack, only Sony SIX HD is going to be there from my wishlist. Rest of the new additions are not in my wishlist. I need to spend Rs.75 to get that pack whereas I can get Sony Six HD at Rs.57 itself in a-la-carte.

English news channels are already there in the very smaller base pack. So, no issues though it is not in my wishlist. SS HD3 is not useful for me.
