Yes, but it is with all HD channels if I am enabling Dolby..

Further, my set top had one issue that the picture will do to black with no audio suddenly when changing LCN. So, he upgraded the software manually (Download ID 24 for the model HD2244).

After this update also, there is no increase in the HD channel volume with DD sound. But the regular SD channel audio level got reduced so that the level is now matching with HD channel. I am not sure if this is just my wrong observation. But I checked many times last night with many channels. It seems the volume level of SD channel got reduced with this software update.

From the product data, it seems the update was released on 05-Feb.

But in my hddvr when I select Dolby sound it is high sound can't lower the sound by remote of stb only by ht remote I can lower it but to a certain level still it is high my dad is scolding me for this high sound I am telling him its Dolby sound i can't lower it by reading everybody post regarding sound of Dolby they are telling its lower I was surprised because I am getting high sound but in SD channels sound can be adjusted by stb of remote .I am using optical cable is that the reason for high volume for Dolby in HD channels

I read your post and understood what you are trying to day. It is true that we cannot control the volume of Dolby sound via D2H remote.

But in my STB (HD 2244), I used to set the volume level to 60% in STB since the volume level of SD channels are higher than HD channels' DD sound when I set the volume level to 100%.

Now, after he upgraded the software with download ID 24, the volume level of SD channels at 100% volume is equal to the level when I set to 60% before upgrade. But no change in DD sound max level.

But I am not sure how it is working differently in DVRs. But whatever I said is the thing happening in HD boxes and the same is agreed by the technician too. He also said, D2H is working on this to have same level of volume for DD and stereo audio output. May be they already did the software changes to control this and released only to DVRs. May be the other DVR users can also check and confirm this.

Even in my HD DVR box when I am switching to Dolby Digital channel the audio is reducing automatically when we change the channel to an SD channel volume raising automatically... Download id is 57

It seems the PQ and AQ of Star Sports 4 got improved. It may be because the SS HD4 is not available and to compensate it. I am not sure it is looking like this only for me. Others can also confirm. Other DTH users can also confirm.

but if tps r same then how the pq or aq can b improved?
i watched it in dd national but the pq was better than b4. i think it was from the broadcaster end bcoz the pq of dd was better than the ss3. this is my view only.

Now I am paying Rs.570 for New South Platinum HD pack (price protection till 28-Sep-2015)

I am planning to select South Silver Sports with Premium HD Access Fee.

Package cost = 250
HD Access Fee = 150
-- Free HD channels part of pack = Sun HD, Sun Music HD, K TV HD, SS HD1, SS HD2, Ten HD, Discovery HD, NGC HD, History HD
Paid HD channels:
-- Star Movies HD = 23
-- Movies Now Plus HD = 23
-- Zee Studio HD = 23
-- Sony PIX HD = 23

Total = Rs.492

If I am selecting Sony PIX for IPL, I need to pay Rs.57 in addition.

What do you guys think? Is this a right package or any other cheaper package is available?

this is the cheapest as per ur calculations. go 4 it. if u change ur package then price protection won't b there if they increase base package again.
have u thought it few days back, u wud have saved 10rs.
