yes I have a d2h connection... I get these codes rarely like once in a day at max(maybe it doesn't show in the channels I watch or I dont pay attention to it)...
I have never seen any codes in red ...

bcoz in every 5 minutes i m getting this - JFFJMJIORTT

this earlier comes in black color now it is coming in red color

I just checked now .. I am seeing some codes appear in red ..its larger than.what it used to be before...

mine is the oldest model hd DVR(160gb) ..
its normal for those codes to appear.. I dont think its related to stb or anything...

These codes are from the broadcaster. It is known as fingerprinting technology. The idea behind is to prevent piracy.

If these codes appear that means the feed is encrypted. If somebody pirates the feed then these codes would appear on their feeds too and the broadcasters have appointed anti piracy agents to check this aspect and launch raids on lcos etc. who steal the feeds from dth etc especially during ipl and other high profile events.
