I recently bought d2h connection and the technician did not give me the av cable that comes in the box of the reciver. When i asked he said, "you have opted to use the HDMI cable from the box instead of using your own so you don't get to keep the av cable".
He also charged me 50 rupees for additional rg6 compression connector.

I don't think this is right.

Bro same thing happened with me but just opposite of you
2 years ago when i upgraded my SD stb to HD stb
They didn't given me hdmi cable that was came in box of HD stb.
They said you have upgraded sd stb so cant give you hdmi cable instead they given av cable that one which have aux cable at one end and yellow red white av Port at other end
I was forced to use hdmi cable came that already owned by me.

Dude, i have LED tv so why should i use AV
They didn't given hdmi that already part of hd box and came along with box package
