NEW DELHI: The information and broadcasting ministry had earlier this year rejected an application by BloombergQuint for a news TV channel, citing a security report questioning the investments by one of its partners, Quintillion Media’s Raghav Bahl.
According to ministry sources, the I&B minister, Smriti Irani at the time, refused to clear the proposal for the TV channel, based on a security report that said "the funding patterns of the company need to be studied in detail before an approval was given as the company's founders were found to have associations that were suspect and could harm the security of the country”.
I m also eagerly awaiting for this.
I guess rebranding will occur like this way....
Asianet = Star Asianet
Asianet HD = Star Asianet HD
Asianet Plus = Star Asianet Plus
Asianet Movies = Star Asianet Movies
Star Asianet Movies HD might launch soon or Asianet Plus may rebrand as Star Asianet Movies HD.
