Top 5 broadcasters' revenues up in FY24 despite challenging ad market

India's top five broadcasters saw combined revenues rise over 5% to ₹41,412 crore in FY24, driven by a 6.3% increase in ad revenue and a 4.2% uptick in subscriptions. Network18, boosted by IPL streaming on JioCinema, saw significant ad revenue growth, while others like Star and Zee faced pressure.

Channel V relaunch time seems to be arriving soon.... Few weeks back all the shows which were uploaded in last 6 months on their official YouTube channel were deleted and now all promos related to its music shows /song related content has been deleted and only old youth shows promos is available indicating that we might see announcement about its relaunch very soon..... Also Star Life rebranding likely to happen soon, most probably we might see a travel channel replacing it

Channel [V] relaunch & Star Life going for a rebrand? How star life will be rebranded ? As Star World or something else? They have so many contents like MasterChef to air. I wish the Star Sports Select channels to be rebranded as ESPN

In 2022 these channels aspect ratio changed to 16:9 by Star India,

But Star Gold-2/Romance/Thrills/Utsav Movies still not changed to 16:9 aspect ratio,
very poor management.

Probably they will relaunch, remember in 90's Star launched Channel V alternative to when MTV brand licensing rights expired with Star India pvt ltd. we don't know that how long Reliance/Viacom18 own Viacom's MTV, Nickelodeon brand channels licensing in India.
