Are Discovery and Viacom 18 partner companies? Why this match series is being telecasted on D Sport as well as Cineplex channels?

Also why Viacom 18 telecasting the series on their FTA channel? They could have telecast it on Colors or other paid channels to earn more money. Any thoughts?

DSport does not have SD feed and India is dominated by SD TV so cannot be ignored from advertising point of view so they need a partner as HD ch does not support SD STB and broadcasting on FTA give more reach to audience and that's important as Dsport is a new network so not all cable/DTH carry their Signal
