Tata Sky is allowing automatic subscription to Sports channels which will broadcast IPL. The selected channel will be added in your account on 19th September. Many people add these channels few hours before match starts which puts load on Tata Sky and pack change request sometimes don't get processed in time, the automatic activation will prevent it.

Tata sky takes care of even small issues and learns from past problem that customer faced.

Because they had lock-in period on sports channels whenever they give special menu to activate before.No

Let's hope there is no lock-in period as I am force to opted for Star Sports 1 HD as Star Sports Select 1 HD which has the dugout feed is not available for selection.
thats why this is no 1. DTH
Service industry works in same fashion, who make profit by providing excellent service to mass/majority customer base across segments

I remember last year they gave a discount or something if you subcribed to Sports Channel for the entire cricket season. Don't remember if it was for IPL or something else. I think that one had a Lock-In-Period.
But this time they are just adding it for us. No extra benefits. So there should be no Lock-In-Period.
