No. That will void your warranty and if any damage will caused to stb, you will be responsible. We never teared off the stb. Without taking out the hard disk we can not check format on pc.

We can format hard disk using secret service menu.

It varies from TV to TV, also depends on brand of TV you are using. So share details and if anyone using similar model than he can share.
