DTH companies won't make this public but reality is that quality of STB (except Tata Sky HD PVR) being given by all operators isn't exactly excellent.

I wish we can say this for few more years as i found out from one of our member that Tata Sky is developing a new android OS based STB which might be upcoming replacement for Tata Sky HD PVR. Quality won't be same as Pace DVR that is for sure as it is being designed by other manufacturer!

During earlier days STBs used to be larger in size than what we see today but the quality was a lot better than current STBs. Same thing applicable on other electronic products.

Compact products are not good in quality : short and simple way to under stand.

Yes Bapun bro, even i anticipate the same. But then what can Tata Sky do when subscribers are demanding all things at cheapest cost. Still i feel OS based DVR will have good quality considering that all the complex functionalities it will provide can't run on low end parts. This product is targetted at premium segment and they will maintain high standard. Let's wait n see

A very good source tells me the next Tata Sky STB will run on Android TV Oreo (8.0)
The code name is known, it's USW4026TAT and it's built by Technicolor.

Jio MAMI Film Festival Service Channel might be added soon on LCN 300/301.

World Screen service channel most likely to be discontinued soon, already promotion stopped on home channels or other mediums and repeat content airing. Guess with roll out of Netflix and other OTT content this service will be put to rest
