Though I'm agree with 1st part (ESPN HD>SS HD2), 2nd part isn't fully correct. India cricket generally were in English on SS & in Hindi on SC. SS HD1 (or SS1 HD) is/was never a 'Hindi' channel. So it's not SC>SS1 but SS>SS1 & SC>SS3>SS1 Hindi.ESPNSTAR was taken over by FOXSPORTS, Star India will be bidding adieu to ESPN brand in the country and will be renamed as Star Sports 4. Similarly, ESPN HD will be called Star Sports HD 2, while the existing Star Sports channel, which is busy bring the India Vs Australia ODI series to your TV sets in English will be known as Star Sports 1 and Star Cricket HD will be called Star Sports HD 1.
Also ESPN part was not that simple. Though ESPN HD>SS HD2 but after Star decided to launch 2 more sports HD channels (in turn 4 HD channels became mirror channels of their SD versions), ESPN HD / SS HD2 > SS HD4 (later SS 4 HD).
In that way, current SS2 HD isn't ESPN HD.
