Help Needed about HD resolution

Hi..i have HD STB :hd and a Samsung LED TV.
Can anyone tell me is HD channels are 720p or 1080i because my TV shows its 1280*720 ???
Help?? I am confused...
NOTE-I tried to change resolution setting from settings in STB but it still remains problem!!

Plz tell about your LCD, is it's full HD or HD ready.

His TV is 720p as he is getting resolution of 1280*720. So all HD channels(1080i or 720p) will be converted to 720p. But it should not be a problem for TV up to 44 inch.

All videocon HD STB support 1080i signal.....no need to worry.... Your tv is hd ready....so it's using a lower resolution compatible with it....
