Help needed reg DVR

I've bought HD + DVR STB recently. I tried to use DVR using my Hard Disk. But it says i need to format the Hard Disk in FAT32 to use the DVR.
By default Hard Disk comes with NTFS format. DO i need to reset to FAT 32 every time i wanted to use DVR.

Is there any other alternative?

Its HD+ not DVR.

DVR are sold by ts, adtv, d2h and rdtv only

Why to format everytime? I think formatting once with FAT32 should be sufficient.
