In an interview with a leading tabloid, Suniel Shetty has said ‘Hera Pheri 3’ should be rolled out for fans. He even revealed why the third part has not worked out. The original unit of ‘Hera Pheri’ is actually waiting for writer Neeraj Vora who suffered a stroke in October 2016 and has been bed-ridden since then. He told Mid-Day, “‘Hera Pheri’ is a huge franchise, one of the first few films to have had a successful sequel (‘Phir Hera Pheri’). All the characters – Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel) and Babu bhai (Paresh Rawal) – have stayed with the audience and there is a brand recall.

Firoz Nadiadwala and the producer gave us an exclusive update on Hera Pheri 3. He confirmed that Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal will get back together in the third instalment of the comic caper. “The script is finalised and you will hear an official announcement soon. The idea is to have not just Hera Pheri 3, but several more Hera Pheri’s and we are working keeping that in mind,” says Firoz Nadiadwala.
