From 2012 until the 2016 LCN change, 950 to 999 was used for Punjabi, Odia and Assamese/Northeast “Others” channels. Since then, 950 to 999 are unused.

Still it's better similar to cable connection...not sure about the logic behind using 3 digit lcn for favourites when 1-100 is empty!
