So, now Broadcasters has to publish new RIO for NTO 2.0 ? If so before which date they have to publish ?
Yes, should have already done by 12th Aug, today or tomorrow they may publish but new price may not come into force until next hearing.

SC already thwarted IBF's delaying tactics by asking to file 1 volume instead of 51 volumes. Case may see end in 2 or 3 months unlike Bombay HC, which might have read all the 51 volumes filed by IBF

As no interim relief, broadcasters need to publish new RIO today or tomorrow. Supreme court later evaluate the price and then might give judgement on next hearing..

If broadcasters wants to make the bill high, they will be in high risk of loosing viewership. As many small broadcasters take advantage of it.

Update:

No stay is granted to the broadcaster's in today's hearing.

Matter is adjourned and interim protection will be considered on the next date.

As per the current status, the present RIOs are illegal.

Counsels will now advise whether or not to file new rates in light of the fact that no interim relief has been granted by SC.

They can publish the new RIOs.. The enforcement can come after the judgement.
