The aim of NTO 2.0 is to decrease the current price of channels. After publishing new prices if the price of channel increases more comapred to now. What trai will do? NTO 3.0?
How can be it be more? In only one condition it will increase and that is when channel partner with each other and put channels in same bucket. For example : Star and Disney, ZEE and Sony, Viacom and Discovery. Which seems very harder.
More chances are with Disney, they might club the Disney channel with Star because they have very high range to add and deduct. BTW Star Plus and Star Bharat would always be in same bucket similarly Star Gold and Star Gold 2.

Can't understand what you meant. Broadcasters can comply with NTO 2.0 keeping prices unchanged or increased by just removing them from bouquets. Rs 12 cap is on channels that can be part of packages, no restriction if channel only available as a la carte.

But this is unlikely for most channels. Prices of popular bouquet / a-la-carte (those included in bouquet) will surely undergo changes to comply with NTO 2.0 regulations, current pricing cannot continue for them. They can have niche HD or SD chs at same price point between Rs. 13 to 19 or even higher but same cannot b part of bouquet

There is also possibility of channels being removed from bouquet and keep the prices higher and then have a deal with DTH companies to include it in their customized packages. The main Hindi entertainment channels are like Petrol/Diesel. People will continue to subscribe despite price rise. Lets see
